Well, I always have a HELL of a time soldering those finicky bios pins, labelled M - R. Now, I was looking at the PS2 mainboard, checking if I screwed up the solder job - as so often is the case - and noticed.. on the BOTTOM of the board, are these nice, big pads. Directly underneath the bios chip. Is there ANY reason that I can't solder to them? Obviously, I'll have to swap it left-to-right, as the board is flipped horizontally. I'm already soldering on the bottom of the board , for points B - I, so why not these?
Not 100% sure as I've never tried that but you could check for continuity with a multimeter first. If they all match up then give it a try but it would have to be at your own risk cos I'm not sure if it would work.
