    Hi,
I am thinking about buying a new tomtom. Someone purchased a tomtom one for me last year. It also has a traffic RDS receiver, which is a separate accessory. This accessory is good but it is a pain in the ... to set it up so that it is tidy. Also its a bit advertisement to possible thief's!

The other option is to subscribe to their HD service which is too costly for me. Are there any other manufacturers other than tomtom that have this included in the unit? Can you please advise of a good unit that has this facility built in?

    Cheers.

Garmin has a lot of models that support traffic feed. List of all Garmin models in their shop

If you want to check the maps install Garmin Mapsource using the trick mentioned here.

If you dont want to spend much you might want to take a look at Nokia smartphones. Few days ago they decided to make their GPS maps free. Its available for free on the Ovi store and has traffic updates for most countries.
