Yo peeps, OK I decided to download URL Snooper and use it against to site that broadcasts online (Moderators fyi - I am registered paid user ). I am seeing some URL text like: mms://re2wmcontent27.bcst.re2.yahoo.com/re2pub07root5/re2pub07share20/__s__/lauapwm9/5/4956210.wma What I would do next, I copy this link in streambox VCR and try to download it. I dont get any bulbs blinking saying "Yipee! It is donwloading?*^&$%^".... I have read an unofficial help text for streambox VCR in this site and I have done the same way. Can somebody direct me in the current direction, puhleeezz
use net transport, its much easier to use and does a great job, I've used it to record hundreds of streaming audio and video file. click new, past that link and away it goes
I would say it is a little more complicated than that. You have a stream URL. If you can play the file using that stream URL, then you can record the file using that stream URL. If you can't play the file using that stream URL, then you can't record the file using that stream URL. Your URL does not play the file so your URL will not record the file. I am not saying that it cannot be recorded. Only that is cannot be recorded with the URL you are using. Recording audio and video streams from Yahoo can be a little more difficult than most. Some parts of Yahoo have streams that will only play in an embedded Yahoo player. Those streams can only be recorded with a recorder that acts as a proxy for the player. Some parts of Yahoo have streams that can only be played when accessed using the correct redirector URL and not with the stream URL. Those streams will only record when the redirector URL is used. Some parts of Yahoo have streams that can only be played when using a complete stream URL. Often there is additional time stamp code information after the file extension. Those streams can only be recorded when using the complete stream URL that includes the correct time stamp imformation, and only while that time stamp is valid. More information is needed if you want help. What exactly are you trying to record from Yahoo. Give a page that the media can be accessed on and what exactly you want on that page if there is more than one media file that can be played from there.
Actually I found "THE BEST" tools for yahoo audio and video streams that I found a while ago and I wanted to share with you guys. For recording yahoo Launchcast use a tool called "Replay Music" - a very easy to use tool...perfect IDing the track. You can PM me or ask me for it serial/crack. Next for Yahoo videos-something called WMRecorder 10 is da best according to my experience. I got that sucka cracked too. I just felt like sharing this with ya guys
