These are some of the programs I use. Do I have an alternative on mac or am i screwed. bittorrent winrar tmpgenc poweriso px3 convert vcd gear coverxp virtualdubmod
Theres alternatives on the mac for half of them, the first 4 definitely, the others also yet, but they might not contain all the features that you get from what you already have.
Ive got a mac and pc and let me tell you that you will NOT find suitable alternatives to most of those. go with the PC
Well Ive still got a dell pc. Think i will buy one anyway just to see what they are like. Found out how to hack apple tv but can i fit a hard drive bigger than 250gb in it. Or am i wise waiting for this time capsule thing, could it be hacked to work as a tv media player.
There may be a few out there if theres an anti-virus software for mac. http://www.sophos.com/pressoffice/news/articles/2006/02/macosxleap.html
WTF??? Macs cant get viruses... It is because they are UNIX based. There has only been 1 virus created for macs that actually was consider somewhat malicious! If I can recall that was back in '06 though. I would go with the mac... There are several suitable bittorrnet apps for macs. winrar is garb compared to Stuffit Expander. I believe you can get tmpgenc for mac... not sure about poweriso, for px3 use Roxio Toast 8 or 9 and not sure about the last 2 Domreis
I would assume that thats the case, since only one was reported as in the link i've given above, but my aunts laptop which is a powerbook g4 has no antivirus software installed, and it doesnt get infected with any virus's, but i cant say personally as i dont own my own mac.
I have a mac.... actually many macs and you DO NOT GET VIRUSES... there was 1 virus in '06 that only affected the 10.2.X operating system! You can get a virus that will effect a PC on the mac but it dosent do harm...
so what if i play a video clip on a mac if i get it and there is a virus in it. anyone know a good bluetooth printer that works with mac, it must be able to print cd/dvds.
If you play a movie that has a Trojan in it your mac will be fine because macs aren't effected by viruses because they are UNIX based! I dont know about the printer... ANY Canon would be a safe bet though.
I like the macbook air, but I just done like the black keyboard, would prefer all silver or even more all white. Do you think they will ever release all white.
