Hello everyone, as we know AMD has joined forces with ATI. I think this was very smart in AMD's terms. But i want to talk about what this could mean for The other companies including Intel And Nvidia, as well as Sun microsystems, as well as motherboard manufactures and semi-conductor manufactues. my dad remembers when computer filled todays living rooms, and they did not even pack a 1/1000 of what my computer packs.

I think that this is the start on a computer on a chip deal. AMD has now got the power to put the video card as well as the cpu on 1 die. which can lead to loss of money for both amd intel and ati. Nvidia has the atvatage on this because they make chipsets and cards they are not processor makers unlike intel, whom, as crappy as they are, continue to pursue the video card industry. at this rate we will have choises of complete computers, not individual parts to make the computer. because if everyrthing is on 1 board and their is not really expansion slots. well we cant really expand then can we.

But AMD and ATI is good and bad. it will lead to many revolutions in technology.

Now what is your input. this is an everything thread.. so feel free to pm me or write somthing of topic. but nothing too rude please. :)

im am very happy about the merger i am an AMD and ATI fan so this pleased me very much (i hate intel) but there is going to be a lot of action comming from intel and nvidia to see what they can do to combat this.......i think it will be a good thing though because now amd can make and distribute Computers with video cards in them which will make the price for the consumer much lower....
