    send a few family dvd,s to a friend in usa they wont work on his system is there anything i can do to get them to play in usa system grateful for any help

    Should be playable on the PC, but on a North American standalone DVD player it probably won't accept a PAL disk.
    Even if it did, the TV might not accept PAL video.

    The options would be to convert them to AVI (assuming that the standalone is DivX certified) or convert to NTSC DVD format.
    You can use AutoGK for AVI conversion - otherwise rip the DVD to one, single, large .VOB file and create an NTSC disk using DVD Flick.

    sorry brain dead as far as computers concerned i have dvd decrypter can i use this

    You can use it to rip your disks to a folder on the hard drive..
