an elephantful of questions..

    ok.. here's the probs..
    I have a mac(OS9.2) and my buddy overseas has a PC(OS xp)
    I have movies on vcd disks and svcd disks.. which means that I can extract a .dat file. I can open and play the dat file on the mac.. and even the svcd dat file..
    but my buddy can't figure out how to
    a. open a dat file
    or
    b burn it to his own disk
    any hints?_X_X_X_X_X_[small]may we all continue to be...[/small]

    Tell him to download this program http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/vcdeasy.cfm

    Then tell him to click tools. Click the Mpeg tools button and he should see a cdxa2mpeg prog at the bottom of VCDEasy. Tell him to click the dat file button and open the dat file in the MPEGAV folder on the disk! Then he can click the mpeg file button and choose somewhere to save an mpeg file and a filename. Click convert and a true mpeg file will have been created whoich can be played easily!
