I am a little confused about what is going to happen when analog television will be no more. I currently have Comcast Digital Cable and I am not planning on switching in a long time. That means I don't have to change anything or buy anything new if I stick with Comcast Digital Cable, unless I buy a new TV which probally won't happen for a lon time either, right?

First off, you have another year before digital goes into place. It was suppose to be this FEB but has been delayed.

Now as to the change over, it pertains more to over the air transmissions like from local stations. The people that have roof type antennas as their only source of TV are the one that will see the change. They will need to convert to the new system in several ways. They can purchase new TVs with digital tuners or get a set top converter box. I have read that the Federal Government will issue 2 coupons per household worth $40. to offset the cost of 2 converter boxes. That is suppose to be close to actual cost of these boxes.

All other sources of TV including any cable subscription and satillite service is suppose to still work as it does today and is said to not need the converters. Hope this helps you.
