What makes you think your 6800 has video IN?
Is it a VIVO card? Did you install the VIVO software that came with it?

You need a capture card of some sort, to get video onto your computer.
Most also come with a TV tuner built in.
They range from about $20 to $500.
Read more posts in this forum, for ideas on what to buy.

Most video cards do not have video in. There are Video Capture cards and TV tuner cards that will allow you to connect to an analog source, but you would have to launch a program to view the images taken from the video input.

Why are you trying to view this on a monitor instead of a TV. I don't think connecting RCA to a monitor is going to look much better than if it was on a TV if that is your goal. Its still an anlog source. I think they make converter devices for Consoles such as the XBOX, PS2, and Gamecube, but I do not think they will work with SNES.

I may be wrong, but if you own the SNES games I think it is legal to use an emulator such as ZSNES http://www.zsnes.com/ and download the ROMS for the games. Don't quote me on that, I could be wrong.

Lol dont worry i wont quote you on it, well its cuz i have a big monitor and it come into more use if i use it as a screen as well. I have the DELL - UltraSharp 1905FP 19-inch but its sad that it dont come with S-video input like the 20-inch wide aspect one does.

You may want to look into something like this. http://www.starkelectronic.com/pitvpro.htm It basically takes and RCA signal and converts it to VGA. It looks like this model can accept both the RCA input and the Computer VGA input and you can switch between the two.

I got the same card. Its a video out only, not composite. Its for a tv I guess. To play games on a big screen. You like myself have to get a capture card.. I havn't figured which one yet either.
