Hello. I am new to Afterdawn forums, but I am well-versed in most things associated with the R4DS. I understand how to manage my codes and use the Cheat Code Editor very well. I have problems with only one game: Animal Crossing. Every time I put a cheat on, the it shows a white screen and freezes. If I have no cheats on, I can play the game as I normally would. I have searched everwhere for a solution to this problem, but to no avail. I have seen the question asked multiple times all over this site, but I never seem to find an answer. It would be amazing if someone could solve this problem for me, because I have been trying to fix it for days. P.S.- I think it has something to do with the "(m)" code, but I haven't been able to test this.
Are you using a legal copy of the game. If not you may have a issue. let me explain... When animal crossing came out for the gamecube in order for the game to boot on a modded machine users had to make there own bootloader to bypass the original bootloader check. If the game boots without the codes then you are using a hacked boot file copy however if the game isn't and is doing this then you are in trouble. so you might need a unmodded version of the game but the issue is the game won't boot without the correct boot header.
Ok so what exactly is a boot header? And just letting you know its Animal Crossing: Wild World for the DS im having trouble with. When I boot up the game with codes on it will say game loading... then the screen will just go white and freeze. Without codes though, it works just fine. Its a ROM so I guess that puts it under the "illegal game" category but what would that have to do with the action replay codes not working on it? P.S. - Thanks for helping, it is much apprecitated.
