Hello All, I've had this dvd for awhile and I've started making back-up because of my nieces and nephews getting into my collection. I currently have the final version of DVD Decrypter, Fab Decrypter 2.90, the lastest version of AnyDVD, DVD Shrink and burning with Nero. Everything this has been going smoothly, until I came to this one in my collection. None of my normal DVD extraction programs work. I've also tried VOB Blanker, Magic Copy DVD, Clone DVD, 1Click DVD Copy 4.2 and straight Disc Copy on a dual layer DVD with Nero. Vob Blanker states that Vob files end before file size is completed, DVD Decrypter keeps saying Cyclic Redundacy Error on all main movie files??? Has anyone had success backing this movie up? I'd like to know what you used. Thanks.
try to clean the disk the crc errors usually come from tired worn-out originals there are repair kits if the disk is scratched if the disk looks clean then your lens could stand a bath the redundancy errors come from the way a burner tries to read the disk where as the players often skip hard to read data and go on to the rest of the movie
You could also tweak dvd decrypter to ignore a few write errors. Here is a little tweak that I got from ScubaPete.
