    Hi;

    Don't know the right forum for this, so please forgive if inappropriate, but:

    I want to take a static jpeg image of a spiral, and just rotate it frame by frame around the center, to create a mpeg/avi/whatever of a spinning spiral, like hokey hypnotists use.

    I imagine it is really easy if one knows the right tools, but I don't know where to start.

    Thanks,

    Paul

    with Photoshop, you can take the image and copy it to a new layer for each frame, rotating a bit at a time. using ImageReady, you can then make this into an animation.

    You could do it with AVISynth, just use the frame number to increase the rotation. AVISynth isn't for everyone though.
