Hello, I Posted this elsewhere but it got no replies so perhaps people over here can help me.

I own a Edimax Router, and I work with several applications that require port forwarding. I forwarded the ports I needed and all worked fine for a long time. About a week ago the programs started acting as if the ports were blocked. I checked a number of times and the correct ports were still forwarded yet the programs still acted as if they are blocked.

I changed the ports a number of times to see if my ISP blocked some ports but none worked. I don't believe the problem is in the router since other computers on the home network work fine (with open ports).
The problem is not my internal IP, I checked and it is the correct one. I also do not have any software firewalls that could cause this.

What could be causing this? thanks in advance.

I should also mention that it started at about the time I discovered and deleted a few viruses from my PC so it might have something to do with it.

What OS? Are you sure you are using static IPs for routing? What kind of progs are you running? Have you run any current updates to the OS?

Did you keep a backup of your working config for the router? If so, I would go ahead and rerun that config to see if it works. If so, set it to current config.

A little more info may help us figure this out.
