Mine is also from Cingular (USA) and my imei = 358804007504361 I have tried some of the unlocking programs to generate a code, but none seems to work. I am wondering if maybe the phone is "hard locked"?? How could I tell? I am trying to unlock it so I can use my current T-Mobile service. If I put the Cingular chip back in it, it still boots up normally.

Still no luck... it continues to say the restriction is on, and to insert smartchip... It does not say "Cannot undo restriction" however....
