sorry i know alot of you have seen these types of threads and ive searched and found some info on it but none for the converter that im using... im using AVS video converter and im using 4.7 gb dvd+r dvds. when i download a file everything looks good on on vlc or wmp. but after burning it, halfway into the movie the audio goes out of whack by a couple of seconds. ive also noticed that it will burn the movie multiple times on the dvd until it is full, so im not sure if this might have anything to do with it. also the files that are converted are different from avi, mkv, and others and i convert them straight to dvd. im not sure if that is what i should be doing or not but im kind of tired of wasting good dvds so any help or info would be appreciated... thanks
Don't waste the dvd. Either use dvd-rw for a first burn (so you can check it) or watch the converted files off of the hard drive. Often, when the audio goes out at about half way, the file were probably joined there at one time or another. I would split the source file at the point it goes out, make sure both of the two new parts are good and encode those.
