i know how to burn a cue file....i think...anyhow some of the bin and cue...movies... i try and burn are not rite.... the final outcome of the burn is a cd that has 5 seperate folders on it....cd1 mpegav vcd ext segment.......what am i doing wrong....i can get the mpegav folder to open and play on my puter but i want to burn to a cd so i can watch on dvd player.....when i mount on 120 or damion the same five folders come up.......im getting close please help....still banging my head against the wall..and it hurts......peace cc
It doesn"t seem like you are Doing anything wrong...What is the problem??? The Bin/Cue Files you are describeing are VCD or SVCD images and Contain Multiple Folders with the actual Video file being in the "MpegAV" Folder and the File is Called "AVSEQ01.DAT"... You Simply Burn these Images to CD-R and then Put them in your VCD/SVCD Capible DVD player and they Should Play on your TV set.... If your DVD Player doesn"t support these Formats then you will not be able to Play them on your DVD player this way...You would have to extract the Mpeg files from the Bin/Cue files and author them to a DVD..... Cheers
so what your telling me to do is mount on 120 then take the mpegav and burn that file??.when i try to open that mpegav it opens and says...avseqo1..should i just burn that file....burn as an image?thanx again......peace cc
No, what I"m telling you is to burn the Bin/Cue file to CD-R and then Play it in your DVD player... You can Burn Bin/Cue files to CD-R useing "NERO" By going to "Recorder" to "Burn Image" and then navigating to your Bin/Cue and then select it and Burn it to CD-R then you Put the CD-R in your DVD player and Watch the Movie.....
i do that load the cue then burn image and i still get those 5 seperate files..............rite now i am trying something..i took the mpegav..opened it..then loaded thraveeqo1.dat into winavi and im converting.........mayb that will work?? sorry i know these questions seem dumb...but i dont want to admit how long ive been trying to figure this out.......thanx alot for your help...peace cc
I don"t understand what the problem is ...Those 5 folders are Supposed to be there ,Without them it will not play in your DVD player as they Are Part of the VCD/SVCD File Structure and without them it wouldn"t be a compliant VCD/SVCD..... You could also Just take the "AVSEQ01.DAT" file from the MpegAV folder and Burn it to CD-R in VCD Mode with Nero but Nero will still Creat those 5 Folders and Burn them to CD-R so you will be in the Same Place you are Now.... What Happens when you Burn the Bin/Cue as an image and Put it in your DVD player ??
when i have the finished product i put it in my puter to test it....and all that happens is a page opens with those five files..wellwhen i looked at it it seemed to burn but shit...it didnt play on the puter!!!well i chucked a bunch out...mayb i just need a codec on puter....im gonna try again and put it into the dvd player....can u say DOH!!!..anyway ill keep you updated....thanx cc.....ps to burn that AVSEQ01.DAT...do i have to burn that as image...iso..or vcd....i may see the light at the end of the tunnel....i hope
well im still banging my head against the wall...but because im such an ass....i found a few cd that i didnt throw away and put them in dvd player...wow they played...i musta threw 20 discs away!!!!i think we have it....anyway why do the cd's open up as those five folders on puter and not play...why do i have to open that mpegav folder for.....is it a codec or what.....i feel like such an ass....you should put this under the dumb ass forum.....peace cc.......anyhow i now have five first halves of the wedding crashers...
Well Your PC is Not a VCD Player nor a DVD player so there is No reason why it would Just Start playing when you put the Disk in your PC... Even Media Player isn"t a VCD player but it will Play VCD mpeg-1/Dat Files so that is why you have to Open the Folder and Play the AVSEQ01.DAT File.... What Gets Me is you say you have Burned the Image to CD-R but you haven"t even Tried putting the Disk in your DVD player which is were it is Supposed to be Played.... To your PC a VCD is Just 5 Folders Burned to a CD-R with a Video file in the MPEGAV folder But to your DVD player it is a VCD.....
in the past i just did a test to make sure the burn worked by putting in the puter i dont know why in the past when i would put a cd in it would just play..on winamp.or wmp..mayb.they were a divx or whatever..i feel like an ass..i just figured if it didnt play on the computer it wouldnt play on the dvd player......what kind of file would play on both the computer and dvd.....anyway thanx......
btw i really appreciate your help....thanx again .........now onto joining files and shrinking....im sure ill have more dumb questions.....peace cc
