I converted a DIVX movie to Mpeg2 using TMPEnc. I can play the movie perfectly through my decorder card, however when I burn it using Nero, the sound is slightly off sync and it cuts in and out.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

The audio has to be in 44.1kHz, doublecheck your TMPGEnc settings that it actually converts the audio to match the standards.

Which version of TMPEnc should I use?

I have the full version of TMPEnc 2.56.39.143 Plus, and the free version of 2.57.41.146.

I just checked the program. I used the template for SVCD which has the 44.1Khz audio.

Is the sound off when you play the burned SVCD on your computer or does it happen only with your stand-alone player?
