By what I can see your firmware needs updating, it's now 2.FA, go here for download
    http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1906

Your burner is not recognizing your discs, hopefully firmware update will solve that.

    and

Also looks like your doing a simulation rather than an actual burn.

Also, those are terrible quality discs. Probably CompUsa. Try some Verbatims or better quality media.

I must also add that this is a new computer and I merely attached the Maddog writer using the USB 2.0 cable ....in other words I have not used the accompanying installation CD ROM to install the Writer. The problem is I lost the installation Disc and then bought a new Laptop.
Guess an obvious error .... however when I click on the drivers for this external drive, I see MAddog listed and says this device is working properly.

    Pls HELPP!!

This version of Nero contains some bugs, uninstall, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html and install this older more stable version, BOTH packages

    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

    Package 2
    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

Poor quality discs, try Verbatim or Sony (made in japan)
