Hi guys I am having a terrible problem with my system lately after taking a vacation and taking some videos, I come home, make a little video from our motorcycle trip (on board bike camera as well!) open nero, put it all together, create menus edit the scenes etc, put in a blank TDK DVD+r set the priority to high, set the speed at 4x and press burn and walk away. when I return I have a error screen??? I have a Memorex writer by the way. I have burned tons of things before but now I get this:

Sorry thats so long but that's the only thing I knew to do to show you guys! I have went in, uninstalled , then reinstalled my drives and made sure they were set correctly, uninstalled and reinstalled nero and tried it through just the burning rom which won't even pick up the video when trying to open it unless you go to the ALL MEDIA tab and it won't transfer it in to burn. It says unexpected file format???? anyways I have wasted 7 dvd/r's now and I have read a few of the posts on here and tried the solutions as listed above with no results. Just wanted you guys t know I didn't just join and start asking questions......I looked at and tried other solutions before i posted. THANKS WITH ANY HELP you may give me as I am really getting frustrated at this point!

    This is an old burner.
Unable to recover TOC (table of contents)
The media is crap and is most likely 16x media. You need good quality 8x media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim.

    Physical memory : 246MB (252720kB)
    Free physical memory: 115MB (118776kB)

Do yourself a favor and purchase some more memory.
A new burner would also be a good idea.

I also thought more memory would be a good idea but I have a birthday next week and I'm pretty sure I'm getting a new pc! YEA! what would be a good burner to buy for a reasonable price? also by "media is crap" do you mean blank DVD-r's I'm using? thanks!

A good place to look for a drive at a cheap price would be Newegg.com.

I just got a Pioneer DVR-115D and cross flashed it to a DVR-115L. Works GREAT even on this old rig.

As for media, yes media is your blank discs. Memorex are HORRIBLE. Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim are top notch, and Sony can be ok, but I hear the ones with Made In Malaysia on the label are not the best quality Sony discs.
