Another new MS detection method? XGD3 games suddenly not booting for many

I was just about to burn a game but now that I think of it there'll end up being new patches in the end for live so I think I'll just save my verbs.

so if i revert to stock and then re-mod it to the latest flash then try a ap25 game will it work then?

as alls im really bothered about is continuing to use the xbox for back-ups and then ill use my unmodded console online now i know tht i can transfer a banned xbox profile over to a unbanned one and use it without the profile being banned

 

Eh, this is why I always say have one legit machine and one backup machine. Oh well, glad the fall update didn't come out sooner and made us update to play the new games.

 

Nope. The games themselves need to be re-patched with new AP2.5 data.

Problem is, when you recover your gamertag on the unbanned one, if you then play on the flagged one and go back to the unbanned one again, your gamertag will be corrupt again and you'll have to recover it from Xbox Live, so you'll lose all of the achievements you earned on the flagged console.

 

I haven't even went on live to get the read error (unless my brother did) but I have a failed AP25 challenge. I'll have to ask him if he got a read error on MW3.

so what if i re-burn a backup of mw3 on the modded console would that work?
or if i ask my friend can i back-up his copy would that work?

as for the gamertag.
i was planning on buying a new xbox and mw3, recovering gamertag onto the new unmodded xbox, then deleting my gamertag off the old modded / banned xbox.

would that work?
and would the live still work on the new console?

You can't reburn MW3 without patching it first and you can't patch it because there's no way to do it. If you have an original, you can dump the dae.bin file from your console then re-rip the original and burn that.

As for your gamertag, any time you use a gamertag on the flagged, modded console it will become corrupt so if you're planning to swap your gamertag back and forth between the two machines without any problems then you won't be able to.

So does this only pertain to anyone who has booted a back-up of an AP 2.5 or XGD3 title? I am still running 1.9 and havnt booted up any AP 2.5 or XGD3 titles, possibly I am still safe?

 

To all that is asking about switching between a banned box and an un-banned box. Yes your profile will get corrupted but you can use a nifty little program called CONFlag to uncorrupt you profile when going to your legit box. This way you get to keep all of your achievements from playing on your banned box.

 

can anyone explain why some ap2.5 games work and some dont?my mw3 doesnt neither does skyrim.but gears 3 acr batman all do.my buddy cod doesnt but his skyrim does .

 

because each machine gets a different dae table loaded to it, its not checking for all the games on each box just some of them, for example lets say for my box i got at random a table change for mw3 and gow3, and your box got skyrim and batman, the games i have that are not in that list will still boot, and the same for you, but end result is the same we both get banned for trying to boot them.

 

I think black ops actually got me I left an old black ops there and think that was put in my xbox and booted. Unbelievable it wasn't even xdg3 that got me flagged.

 

well i have a un modded xbox also .but keep it in the frontroom,had my modded box in spare room for backups.also have an x360dock hooked up to it .but they wont play either.guess ill wait to see what comes.but i know i wont take my flagged box back online to get corrupt gamer tag.

 

I just finished updating the dash on a box and flashing the drive with CFW, I tried MW3 and it works, this box wont be going online any time soon, does that mean MW3 may stop working tonight?

 

This is like changing the ap2.5 tables. Now MS are going to be constantly changing the dae.bin files and it will be a pain to stay online unless C4eva finds a way around it which he likely will. Offline will still be fine though.

0.-REMOVE PREVIOUS INTALLATION OF WM3

go to System setings>> Memory >> Games

and delete MW3.

1.- CLEAR CACHE

To clear your cache, navigate to the ?My Xbox? channel in the dashboard menu, within which you can select ?System Settings?. Select ?memory,? highlight the HDD, and press (Y). Select ?Clear System Cache,? then ?Yes.?

2.-REMOVE LAST XBOX UPDATE. ** thanks to CODENAMEZERO **

Go to System Settings - Memory - Highlight the hard drive

When the hard drive is highlighted press the button combination "LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X".

This will remove the current install, the Xbox's automatic response will be to re-download the updates. One the current install is removed, the console will restart and begin the re-downloads.

3.-INSTALL MW3

After downloading the update ( not the MW3 UPDATE) disconect from internet and insert disk.

you should be able to see it.. my xbox took more than 10 seconds. DON'T RUN THE GAME

press Y and on the next menu select INSTALL. it will begin installing and after a few minutes it will

give you a disk error, try to install again and you will notice that the error will take longer to show

if it happens again try to reinstall untill it reaches 100%

I had to install 5 times, first error was at 17% second at 30% third at 63% and so on..

Now i can play from the hardrive i haven't been able to test online playing since my live subcription expired a week ago.. i will update.

I feel the same way now if microsoft are going to keep doing this then I won't bother paying for xbox live I'll just enjoy some good games offline

 

Is it safe still to play online with originals like halo anniversary not backups? or should I just stay offline to be safe?
