Ok here's my problem I've used Dvdx xpress to back up my movies but now that they are haveing problems I've had to find new ways. Came here and read up on using Dvd shrink with nero. I'm using shrink 3.1 and nero 6.3. Now for the problem I put the movie on my HDD and tell shrink to back it up. When it does this happens. 11:58:11 AM #22 Text 0 File ThreadedTransfer.cpp, Line 229 all writers idle, stopping conversion 11:58:11 AM #23 Text 0 File ThreadedTransfer.cpp, Line 223 conversion idle, stopping reader 11:58:36 AM #24 Phase 38 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 253 Burn process failed at 8x (11,080 KB/s) I can watch the movie but none of the special feature stuff seems to work. Computer specs are: Win xp pro fully updated Asus pc4800 3.04 ghz P4 plextor px-708a dvd r/rw latest firmware FX 5900 video 2 gigs of kingston 3200 ddr 2 WD 250 gig HDD
'You put the movie on your HDD and ask Shrink to back it up'. What exactly are you doing? You should ask Shrink to backup the disc BEFORE it rips to your HDD. The latest versions of DVD Shrink will also integrate with Nero and burn automatically after ripping but you must check the settings in Shrink first.
