Using NeroVision 4 to make a slideshow. This is my first experience using NeroVision and I am having some trouble. It's kinda hard to explain but here it goes....

I have been making a compilation of 15 slideshows to burn for Christmas presents for the in-laws (my wifes idea). I have invested way to many hours in this project already, have tried to burn it to DVD without success twice, and now have another problem that just came up that I can't fix.
I originally tried to insert some .wma songs that were copyright protected into the project and after painful hours of troubleshooting why the music tracks would not play I finally determined that NeroVision won't let me use anything copyrighted in the project. So, then I went to the trouble of burning the tracks to a CD and then ripping them back to the harddrive so they would be useable in NeroVision for the project. That was successful until my wife (without my knowledge) was going through my music files in Windows last night and noticed that there were duplicates of some songs and started deleting. Two of the songs that were deleted out of the 'my music' folder in Windows were in my project. Now when I pull up the project, those song tracks are still listed in the Audio files list with a white box with and "X" in it instead of the little speaker icon of regular music files. They will not play when the slideshow is played, but the time of the song is still counted in the slideshow (silent). I cannot remove these files from the slideshow now and thus cannot set the slideshow to play for the length of the music. I am cluless and about to the end of my rope with the project. Any help would be greatly appreciated. As you have probably noticed, I am by no means a computer wiz.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you (your wife) deleted the files before you processed the slideshow to disc, image or folder then you have only couple options..get them again by download or recover program, delete them out of project and replace wioth something else or start all over. When you got the slideshow all together I recommend burning it to image (to folder if too big so can use Shrink to compress it) for burning with Nero or whatever software you use. Hope that helps
