I have a copy of the movie State and Main, and I have tried everything I could to burn it. There is something blocking the disc from being burned, there are no scratches at all and it plays fine. It has some kind of powerful encryption. With Shrink, everytime i try to open disc the program freezes and it wont work. With DVD decrypter, it decrypts the movie all the way to 49/50% and then wont go any further and i have to cancel. I am wondering if there is anything else I can do.

Clean the disk, it has either a scratch, smudge, or imperfection not visible to the eye. Or try another original. You can always try the 21 day trial version of AnyDVD and see if that works, but it sounds like a bad pressed disk.

I would agree with arniebear, standalone dvd players will play scratched discs where optical drives wont rip them or read them, anyway I would try another source disc.
