Can anyone tell me a good anti-virus softwear,is AVG any good.

AVG is very good. I got rid of the Norton Hog on my laptop and use AVG instead.

Yes, the free avg is good to use. You can use it in conjunction with a free firewall program, such as zone alarm or comodo.
