Can anybody recommend a decent (good would be better!) free antivirus that will run on an old laptop loaded with Windows ME? I know it's an old dog, but it keeps working. Slow, yes - but then so am I. It won't support XP, so upgrading is out of the question. I know that there are a lot of freeware av programs out there, but I don't know which are useless. I use AVG on my desktop but it does not support ME. Any suggestions?
I'm not 100% sure if it's ME compatible but try avast antivirus at www.avast.com it's a good program and a freebee also. Cheers, Rev
