    hi all i was wondering if i can install norton antivirus 2009 and bitdefender 2009 total security

    It's not recommended to install 2 or more a/v's on the same pc - they will conflict.

    what one do u think is a better a/v prog?

    Well Norton can be a resource hog and I have a friend that swears by Bitdefender. Each a/v has their plusses and minuses.
    Your best bet would be to try an trial of one and see how you like it - that and check reviews at places like cnet.com & pcworld.com etc.
