I just down loaded the trial version of any dvd and clone dvd, I can get the any dvd to write the movie but how do I make a copy from a copy on clone dvd, I have all the requirements for the programs but it keeps giving me an error message and says it cannot make a copy. It also says that if this persists contact bugs@elby.ch. which I did but have not got any help. I would like to buy these programs because any dvd works great except for making a copy from a copy...Please help,,,,,,,I am really not the greatest at this and could use any help I can get,,,,,,PLEASE HELP

    Hi meame
You can do a copy of a copy the same way you would do an original backup - the diff is AnyDVD doesn't need to be on since the copy protection is removed.

AnyDVD doesn't write - CloneDVD does that - AnyDVD runs in the background removing the copy protection. Also has a ripper in it too that you can use.

What's the exact error message you are getting?

I am sorry if I did not make it clear what I wanted to say, I am not very good at this, I can't remember the exact message I got but I know it said that it could not read the disk that was copied, or maybe something about not finding source I can't get clone to make a copy from a copy,,,,what am I doing wrong. I have not used any dvd to try to make a copy from a copy just clone dvd and it will not work. I am sure it is something I am doing but do not know what

Ok - you're doing fine :) Here's some more questions for you to ty and sort this out.
What is the brand of media you are using?

How about the make and model of the burner (good point elementx)
To find this info - it's on the last screen in Clone. See pic below - the firmware version in the pic is 1.02.

What speed did you burn at w/ 1copy?

    No problemo meame :)

Those Magnavox are probably part of the problem. They are made by CMC which is one of the worst.
Better to use would be Verbatim or made in japan Fuji, Sony or Maxell.

Your drives firmware may also not be up to date and if there is an update available may help your drive try and read these discs.

Can you find the make, model and firmware version in CloneDVD and post that back?

If not another place to look is device manager.
Right click on 'my computer' then click properties>hardware tab>device manager.
Click on the + next to dvd/cd drives.
Right click on the HP drive then clcik properties. The detail tab will give the firmware version (listed to the far right). Here's another pic:
