20 pack spindle or 40 pack spindle of +8x from staples?

The first batch I picked up was a 20 pack spindle for $5
The MID code on these were Ricohjpn-R2 i believe.Pretty good manufacturer. All 20 performed great.

The last batch was the 40 pack had the MID code of CMCMag-E01, a much poorer manufacturer. These ran about $9 on sale.

I had no trouble with the ricoh teons, but did have playback issues with those cmag teons on some stand alones. Those stand alones can really pick out the cheaper manufacturers.

They go on sale every few months, but I wouldn't pay full price for them.

The dash teons in both 20 and 40 pack spindles are definitely cmags.

Thank you for the info on the "Teon" discs. I will return them tomorrow and call it a lesson in futility. Thanks Ronnies
