Any info on the Magnavox ZC352MW8 DVD recorder ?

I bought one of these about a month ago for $149 at Walmart & it works grest for recording movies off of my cable DVR. Recording speeds are 1,2, 2.5, 3. 4, & 6 hours. It seems to record a bit longer than each speed. For example I get 2:10:17 on the 2 hour mode.

Does a great job with either + or -R discs in the DVD+VR mode that play in my computer as well as two other DVD players I own.

What I wonder is who makes the DVD drive used in this recorder? Anybody know the drives model number so I can look for newer firmware in the future? From web info the recorder is made by the Funai Corp.
