Any infomation on D-box sattelite reciever

Hi guys

I have seen these d-boxes advertised on ebay chipped for between £80-£120 and just wondered what you can do with them. I have asked about and someone told me you can view all sky channels with a standard card including PPV. Then some else told me you cant pick up any sky channels it just for other stuff.

I am confused but more that a little curious about what they do?
