ran network wizard on both computers, set file sharing, turned off internet firewalls, set ip add (laptop 192.168.1.2 desktop 192.162.1.3) got the crossover cable. and still cant see the files in either computer. on my desktop i can see my laptop but everytime i try to access it it says that i do not have sufficiet permission to access files. any more help, im completely frustrated with it. thanks
Right click on the folder your trying to share and select Sharing and Security. Check to see if the boxes are properly set.
