any update on autoroll problem

is there any news on the problem of the autorolling of the boxes have been getting phone calls all weekend trying to get peoples boxes back on put my mothers three eurovox back on manually .. have a digivox myself and i flashed version 2.8000 on to it two weeks ago from my friends box and the two of our boxes autorolled no problem but another friend with a digivox had version 2.0000 and that didnt auto roll so must be the software

 

Yes it is a firmware issue on some boxes and it is been worked on as we speak.

 

sound thanks for the quick reply it will prob be a matter of changing the firmware on most boxes so if we get one box sorted its possible to just transfer the data with a null modem from box to box the way i done it with the digivox does that work with all boxes

 

Yes you can clone most boxes in this manner.

 

depending on what box you have, if you try this with a genuine box to a clone, you will brick it. So be careful before you transfer anything.

Can somebody tell me please, is firmware 6.1 suitable for all Starview boxes. What is the advantafe of 6.1 over 4.0 ?

If you care to read the thread about the Starview Super Box, they are totally different firmware, it will brick your starview, so dont do it
