So I've heard that brasso polish gets the minor scratches out of the acrylic on an Ipod. Is there any way to get brasso polish or an alternative in the united states? 'Cause those scratches can get frustrating.
I really would not use Brasso. It contains quite a bit of abrasives. You might try a bit of liquid auto polish. Fills the minor scratches and buffs to a very high sheen. I've used it for years on motorcycle windshields.
btw brasso isnt an abrasive its actually and acid that eats away at w/e its on,un til its wiped off. (Its used for shining up brass by eating awya the corrosion).
I was looking for ipod cleaning accessories just a little bit ago and i thought i should check the forum to see if anybody had any suggestions, then i noticed this thread! The Ice Creme cleaning solution mentioned above was one i came across also. Im either going to buy that or i might try out icleaner from icleaner.com, it had alot of good reviews and good results. Also on radtech.us they offer a micro film to protect your ipod and the film acutally does some minor scratch repair when applied to your ipod! Im going to buy some cleaning solutions, then apply the mylar film from radtech, to top it all of im going to get a evo 3 skin from iskins.com. If you havent checked out the new evo 3 skin yet u should its the best case i have found so far. (P.S. all the accessories i have mentioned above, besides the cleaning solutions, are compatible with the new ipod video)
Thanks for all your suggestions guys, this is really helpful. And I'm gonna check out that evo 3 skin.
