Any way to reduce processor from 100% to less.
When I go to encode my processor runs at 100% for 90 minutes.
    This overheats it.
I have a pentium 3.06 ghz processor with 533 Mhz bus and 2 gigs of ram.

Depending on your BIOS you could actually clockdown your processor, causing it to run at 100% more often, but not as hot.
Or you could buy a new heatsink/fan.
I was going to look for one for you, but you didn't specify anything about the cpu besides 3GHZ.

i thougt of getting a more powerful processor to reduce the processing time but i do not see that anything on the market will make that significant a difference versus the bucks.
