Matches? Seriously though, where are you having problems? There's 3 basic steps to a backup; rip, encode/transcode, and burn. Where are you getting stopped and what software is being used, other than RB?
Is this a dl file, I thought Flight 93 just came out in the theaters. Edit: this must be the television one, and should not have anything special on it.
im trying to burn this Moive and it wont let me.. <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y210/kensubaru03/Flight93.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a>
im trying to burn this Moive and it wont let me.. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y210/kensubaru03/Flight93.jpg
Well, when you answer my questions, I can try to help you. But without knowing at what point in the process you're getting stuck, there's not much anyone can do. That's almost like saying my car won't run and expect the technician to know what's wrong. We're here to help you, but we're not clairvoyant. 1) Rip Did you rip the DVD to the hard drive okay? Any problems? If so, what software did you use and what happened? Any error messages and what do they say? 2) Encode/transcode Are you having problems with the RB setup? Which of the supported encoders are you using? Is the software stopping during the process or not getting started? Any error messages and what are they? 3) Burn If the RB supplied you with an output file then you're ready to burn. What software are you using? Are you starting the burn process and it halts? Are there any error messages and what are they?
sorry about that.. i tryed to use DVDFab Decrypter the new one and dvd43 and AnyDVD DVD Region+CSS Free " and i am trying to rip it to my hard drive.. nothing seems to work at all.. this is the frist moive im haveng a hard time doing.. then im trying to burn it with DVD Shrink 3.2 ............. anyother help would be great.. thanks for your Time
one other thing, am trying to rip the dvd to my hard drive, but get a D error at like 90% done with anything use.. im not sure what RB setup means ?
Just what error are you getting, if you are getting a CRC/IO error it is probably a defective/imperfect disk, try cleaning it or take it back and get another original. You have used a number of programs and one of them should be able to get through the movie if it is not a bad disk. Since this is a DVDRebuilder forum we assumed you were having problems with this particular program.
RB is short for dvd-rebuilder an application used in lew of shrink for better quality, this is the forum you posted in so it was assumed you were using the program dvd-rebuilder. you are probably getting errors due to a dirty or damaged disk although that's just a guess as I don't know what the error message is or exactly what program is giving you the error. arnie you beat me to the punch. is it spiked?
@L8ter Great answer, lol. The punch may be spiked later, as I have to go to my gdaughters 5th bday party at the Chucky Cheese and after that will need much fortification. If my post later seem odd you will know why
HA I can hear it now "arnie get out of those tubes right this minute" kids do terrible things in there. @ kensubaru please just copy paste the error message back here, don't mind us
dvd shrink encountered an error and cannot cuntinue failed to read file "D:/" data error cyclie redundancy check
Okay. Cyclic redundancy is the software telling you it can't read the sector(s). Since all the software is stopping at 90% completion, that's where the error is located. If you have the software and "know how" you could do a read scan to check for corresponding bad sectors. I suspect you'll need to get another disc. With the extended version of Dune, I never could get a good backup, even after trying 3 different discs. Problem was they were from the same batch. The theatrical release on the flip side came out perfect. An old classic, Thunder Road, did me the same way, but I finally came across a copy that could be backed up without flaws. Just mentioning those situations so you'll know there can be more than just the flawed disc you have. DVDInfoPro is freeware that can do the Read Scan to check for the bad sectors mentioned. I was talking about a flawed press. Physical damage to a disc can cause the same problem. Is there scratching on the disc or any blems that would prevent the laser from reading through the outer layer properly? Arnie and L8 mentioned this before.
Impressive lot of decryption software. Keep the AnyDVD or if free is a must, DVDFab Decrypter. In my estimation, that's the best of the retail and freeware. Shrink is functional and free. This is the DVD Rebuilder section of the forum though. You posted in the wrong section. You should have been in DVD for Newbies or the Shrink section. As was mentioned, when you post in the RB section, we assume you're using RB and need help with it. We try to help anyway. Just letting you know for future reference.
yea there is a blem on " a water mark" the dvd.. but i got aroud the before but this time i cant any clue what I can use? other then what i tryed to use?
Thanks for telling me I was in the wrong place.. next time ill be in the right place.. only used this forum two times but not have been on this for a few months
Software can't help the laser read through a bad spot on the disc (when that's the cause of the problem). Occasionally a good cleaning and polishing can help. Sometimes a disc resurfacing tool will remove surface problems (blems and scratches). It just depends on how bad the problems are.
I use no ammonia window cleaner to clean and then use a soft cloth. For scratched and permanently blemished discs, I use Skip Dr (resurfacing and polishing tool). If it's just a surface problem, that often takes care of it. If the problem is a deep scratch or something has damaged the outer layer to the dye layer, then little can be done. I wouldn't suggest a resurfacing tool unless you run into a lot of scratched discs. Just a few salvaged discs and it's paid for itself.
