Hi there i would like to know if somebody has this drive and its having problems using dvd-r media, i have been able to record to a dvd rw+ cd but everytime i try to use a DVD-R cd i got an error, i just got this drive like a week ago but i dont know if i actually need a firmware upgrade, iam using Matrix DVD-R 4.7GB 1X-4X. Or is there something in the drive or the setting to be able to record to dvd-r media? thanks in advance.
i have one, got it last week, it burnt to a DVD+RW no probs, and to 1 DVD-R, but it had trouble with a couple of other brands, but i flashed it with V1.07 and it seems to work great
thanks a lot for your reply i will try it upgrading my drive to 1.07. I also ordered some ritek dvd-rs, they supposed to be compatible with this drive.
I just got this drive and everything works for me with TDK 2X DVD-Rs....... did not have to flash anything.
