I just purchased the bundeled software from slysoft. When I run clonedvd it keeps saying copy-protected, anydvd is running in the background. Can someone help please?

Works fine for me with this program as well as 8 other backup programs that I use.

Does the little red fox in the sys tray change from light red to dark red or the other way around. Can't remember which was itis.
If it does not change and show that it has found your drive when you put your curser over the red fox, that could be the problem. Also check the settings in ANYDVD to make sure that SAFE MODE is not checked. If it is checked then it will not remove the copy protection.

Safe mode is not checked. Man this is really bumming me out. I've used older versions that worked fine, so I decided to dish out the money for the keys, and now I can't seem to get it to work

Glad to hear you got it straightened out.
This is a wonderful program. Would not be without it.
