    AnyDVD 6.1.7.5 beta

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Hi,

Please try AnyDVD 6.1.7.5 beta, available here:

    http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupAnyDVD6175.zip

    The ZIP password is:

    allgoodthings

This version features the new, "all-singing-all-dancing" long awaited "AI Scanner(tm)" and many other interesting changes. Please try it with as many DVDs (new, old, protected, unprotected) as you can. Please try it with CloneCD, CloneDVD and all 3rd party tools you may have in your possesion (Shrink, 1-click, Recode, ... )

    Here is the changelog:

    6.1.7.5 2007 09 28
    - New (DVD): New "AI Scanner(tm)" copy protection removal
Note: With AI Scanner, a lot of titles can now be processed
with programs like DVD Shrink *without* using the AnyDVD ripper!
This includes many Arccos protected titles.
    - New (DVD): UDF remastering of .IFO and .BUP files
    - New (DVD): Added support for new copy protections
    - New (Blu-ray): Support for new titles
    - Fix (DVD) AnyDVD ripper could complain, that the destination
    directory has insufficient space
    - Fix (HD DVD & Blu-ray): Large I/O requests could cause the
    "Magic File Replacement(tm)" to malfunction
    - Fix: Integrity check could issue a false alarm
    - Some minor fixes and improvements
    - Updated languages

    Thank you for your help!!!!

    WARNING AND QUOTE

    NOTE

    http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?p=53530#post53530

I just want everyone to know that this beta was intended as a closed beta and, as such, was not meant for the general public. Consequently, this beta is completely unsupported at the moment (and there are some issues with it).

So, I can only advise people to use this beta at their own risk! I would especially advise not to use this version with Clonecd at the moment.

And while I can't speak for anyone else, I'm not going to even bother trying to help people troubleshoot problems using 6.1.7.5. This was never intended for a public beta release.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS BETA VERSION ON YOUR COMPUTER!!

I have enjoyed AnyDVD for a number of years and this version made me, for the first time ever, use swear words in the same sentence as the word 'AnyDVD'

This DOES AND WILL lock up your computer !!

    @Catfreak,
Thanks for the warning, was about 30 seconds from installing, checked the forum and saw your post and decided, well, let's wait a little bit more. I'll be awaiting until I either can't back up a movie or you all give the all clear signal.

I put in a disc, watched the cute little fox turn that whitish color . . . and then stay that way. My computer then locked up . . .

That's why it's a Beta version and why I owe ireland an apology for not paying attention to his post . . .

Sorry ireland . . from now on, or at least until I get stoopid again, I'll pay attention to what you advise

    Victor

I've used many of the beta versions before and never had any issues with the program, guess I just got lucky, but that is what "Beta" means, maybe okay, maybe not, but always interesting to say the least.

Zebadee.....I find your gif sig VERY distracting. Just because you can do something doesn't always mean you should

    Would consider making them static?
    Thanks for thinking about it...

blivetNC Let's agree to disagree on this one.

As a senior member it was inappropriate for you to answer a question that was not directed to you - Perhaps before you gave carte Blanche to keeping the animations, it would have been polite to have allowed zebadee to make the choice without your influence.

I'm not here to change any status quo. I'm here to learn skills i don't possess. Other forums that i have memberships with have posting cautions for flicker and distracting sigs and Avatars. It makes sense. Not everyone has great vision and bio-responses to flicker can be quite disturbing. Perhaps we could take a vote or a poll on this matter and hear from others. A democratic approach is always good for the people.

No harm no foul there, blivetNC - Your direct answer and unilateral decision for someone else tells me you enjoy being 'in charge' You wanna be an 'Alpha' - I yield to your misplaced ego. There are a few in every crowd and I've come to accept that.

Nobody's perfect; and we're all perfect examples.

FYI - zebadee's sig, and others like it are distracting to a person with eye spasms (that would be me...)and it makes the page difficult to concentrate on. Catfreak has a gif as a sig too, yet it's just a roving bug and it's not flickering.(Yes. It's definitely myproblem and i'll learn to block the corner of my screen when i'm viewing similar sigs.

    Peace to you, blivetNC
