I just picked up a copy of AnyDVD using the Afterdawn discount and it seems to work quite well. However, my firewall indicates that it is calling home occasionally. Does anyone know what it is doing and what will happen if I block it?
there is no real reason why you SHOULD block it, as cougar stated, it's checking for updates~ since you purchased it, as have i, i tick the box for "check for updates automatically"...i let my firewall allow anydvd to phone home whenever he gets lonely just keeps your purchase up to date as anydvd and slysoft update very frequently, great program...best investment i've made for software~
