Just recently started copying DVDs. I downloaded the trial of Anydvd and clone DVD2, I also tried 1click DVD, I just got a brand new Dell XPS 400, I used Maxell DVD-R blank media, my copies seem to go OK most of the time but when I go to play them back most of them freeze up at about 15 min into the movie when I watch them back on the computer.I was watching them on Real player, then I tried power DVd on one of them and it worked better. Then I tried another movie and that one id not work any better on Power DVd, still froze up at 15 min. What might be causing this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Try slowing down your burn speed. Don't go above 4X.

change your burn speed down and try some (1) Taiyo Yuden (2) Verbatim (3) Maxell (made in Japan).

these are the best when copying your backups.

    happy burning.

Thanks for the tips. I just tried a few at 4X speed and they seem to be running OK so far. Am I better off buying blank media on line or localy? Any suggestions on where is the best place to pick up blank media? Who handles the Taiyo-Yuden?
