I have AnyDVD 6.0.8.2 and it keeps trying to connect to Slysoft's website. I have disabled the "Automatically check for new AnyDVD Version" checkbox, but it still keeps trying to connect anyway. Is there a Registy setting or something else I need to do to stop this from happening? Thanks.
I run the same version, but it only tries to contact slysoft at startup. This is to check for updates. It isn't a continuous thing though.
sandman13 , In the taskbar( right click fox head) make sure autostart does not have a check mark next to it. If it does click the checkmark off. Also click Exit and the program is turned off. When you need it then just click on the fox head on the desktop and you are good to go. You can also depending on the firewall block AnyDVD's access to the internet but that is going to the extreme
AnyDVD isn't doing anything wrong when it connects, it's just contacting slysoft for update info. If you stop it from doing this your updates will be delayed till you recieve the email telling you about updates.
