anydvd apparently does cause problems when used with some programs like dvd decrypter & fab decrypter. it doesnt always work with shrink either (although slysoft are tring to make it as compatible as they can with shrink) it works very well when used with clone dvd2 & has never let me down yet
i think it is worth every $

I turn it off with DvdFabDecrypter but it's always on the rest of the time. No problems.

Whoever says it should take 18mins either has a super fast computer with lots of memory or they don't know what they are talking about... 30-45mins is about the norm....

That's also if you're just doing a quick copy.. If you're like me it takes alot longer to backup a DVD because I like it to encode SLOW so it comes out with the best quality especially if compression is quite high...

I use Nero Recode 2 with all the options checked and it can take up to a hr just to Analyze and encode and then another 10-15 mins to burn (depending on what media I'm using and how slow I decide to burn)

I also like to rip to the the Hard Drive and use Vob Blanker to remove whatever I don't want (Trailers , Warnings Etc etc) so that takes time but is well worth it in the long run..

I'd rather have a good running backup by taking my time rather than rush through it

As long as you keep up with the 4+ updates a week they seem to come out with, it works ok. I don't use it, as it's totally UNNCESESSARY. There are zero protections that aren't crackable using free tools, and a little brain power.

I have yet to find a free program that can size up to anydvd. Maybe it is the brain power I am missing. If so then shame on me.

I highly recommend AnyDVD. I use it with CloneDVD2 almost exclusively and since I have been using this pair, I have only had 2 coasters -- and I caused both of them. I bought them before the AD discount and it was $$$ well spent.

It takes me about 45-60 minutes to burn a movie and I usually only burn the main title. However, today I burned Jarhead twice (for my son and me) and on my copy I burned the complete disc and on the one for my son, I only burned the main title. It took 105 minutes to do the entire disc and 50 minutes to do "movie only". My system is almost 5 years old and is only 1.5mghz with 512mb ram.
