Hello I'm a newbie and I'm having hopefully a issue that can be rectified. I have Nero 6.6.1.4 and I downloaded Anydvd. Everything is good with making copies until I come across a file to big. For example I'm trying to make a copy of "Identity" and it saying that the disc doesn't have enough space. Do I have to always use Dual Layer in order to make copies when I run into this problem?

What you can do is when you open Nero, go to More, Default Video Options, DVD Video and change things there. Here you can choose long play, extended long play or super long play or Custom.

If you choose custom you have to fiddle with Bit Rate until you get it right.

Is it okay if I delete my existing Nero and then upgrade to the new one?

Yep thats fine, once you uninstall your current version, run this clean tool to remove all traces

    http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html

    and then install this version

    http://httpdl2.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe

    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe

I would install Nero Recode before installing the latest version.
To summarize Uninstall, run clean tool, install Nero Recode(package 2 from first link i gave you) http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/nero-up.php
    , and then install 6.6.0.18

Thanks! Now it's asking for a serial number. Do I use the one that I just uninstalled?

What file is your movie "Identity"? If it's AVI, then go with what gwendolin suggest, if it's VIDEO_TS file (i.e you're trying to rip the movie Identity and burn it into a DVD5 or DVD+R disc, then have Nero Recode 2 to customize the MB size to 4460MB.

Furthermore, just take out any unwanted "audio & subtitle", and in prior to the actual "transcoding or Burn" process via Nero Recode, make sure you check/click on both "Advanced Analysis + High Quality Slow Recording".

Thats a strange one, try uninstalling Nero Recode and see how it goes, hang in there we'll get it fixed eventually (hopefully)

How do I uninstall Nero recode without uninstalling Nero Suite? When I go add or remove programs it just shows up as Nero Suite not as a separate entity?
