I prefer AnyDVD because it can be run in conjunction with any other ripping, shrinking, rebuilding tool that you want to use. DVDFab Decrypter limits how you must rip it. With AnyDVD, you really can do 1-click transcoding/rebuilding.

smitbret Thanx for your comment. I also prefer AnyDVD one because they keep on top of the latest updates. I used DVDfab and it's a
very good product but still after getting AnyDVD I think it is the best out there. Thanx again.

I will take AnyDVD over DVDFab although the latter is free. AnyDVD can work behind any program I have and since they included the ripper now it can do double duty. I have not had any problems with the program which is why I bought it, did have problems with DVD43 and comp crashes. In the end it comes down to if you want to pay or not. Both programs do the job and that is all that matters. Just my two cents :)

arniebear the only bad thing about DVDFab is that they don't seem to update their program as much as anyDVD does, don't you agree. AnyDVD seem to saty on top of the new protections that crop up. I have used all of them and after trying and getting AnyDVD there is no contest.
It is by far well worth the money....

I'll throw my two cents in for what it's worth, AnyDVD is tops with me. That along with Clone DVD2 is the simplest, fastest & most dependable why to back up your discs. Grant it, you must buy these programs but it will be money well spent. Those who don't use it or bash it, are the ones who refuse to pay. In reality, if AnyDVD & Clone DVD2 were free to them, they'd all be using this combination.

To me it is a a translation question.
    AnyDVD or DVDFab?
    Gold or Copper?

I choose AnyDVD and that is just my opinion. I am really happy with AnyDVD and the way that they are always on top of things. A very friendly program.

No question which I would use. I own several DVD software programs so I can pick which I use and without a doubt it's CloneDVD & AnyDVD.

I will always pick Anydvd, you cant get better than slysoft. James and the guys do a great job. If there is a movie with a new copy encryption you send a log to slysoft and within a a few hours/1 day a new version appears and breaks it.

Thanx! All for the comments and I also agree. I still use Shrink and DVD Fab but since getting AnyDVD there is no contest. The way they
keep on top with updates and all I take my hat off to Slysoft and say
way to go guys. keep up the great work....

Just to be the oddball in the bunch, here's my 2c. I use DVDFAB Platinum. (NOT DVDFAB Decrypter) Platinum is about the same price as ANYDVD and I only have to use one program to decrypt, rip, compress and burn. I DO like Any DVD, too, but wanted to be able to do all with one program. Which, I think you can now do with Any DVD? (not sure) but at the time I was buying, Any DVD required a second program to burn.

DVDFAB Platinum has been kept up to date, too and I haven't had any problems trying to burn new movies, even on the first day of release, like Nanny McPhee. Also, just ripped and burned Firewall and Glory Road on Tues., the day they were released. So, there you have another view.

I agree DVDFab Platinum is very good. However Slysoft has never done me wrong, and in todays software world, I just can't see my self abandoning them when they are so on top of it.

Since AnyDVD release on 7/3/2003 they have had 82 builds. That is one build every 13.07 days or 2.34 builds per month. I don't know of any other software company that does so much for their customers.

    Yes I am a FAN!

I do like to have backup programs on hand because sometimes one just works better than another in certain situations.

cheribery and h2ouup2 thanx for the input and I appreciate all for posting. I also have used DVDFab and still think it's a great program and thanx to one of the best programs ever made DVDShrink but since I got AnyDVD there is no contest. I do not mind using two programs and now that AnyDVD has a ripper and burner, but I really like the way Slysoft updates all the time and keeps on top of the new stuff. Those people at Slysoft are some amazing people and I still say to them Thank You and as always AD 4 Ever....
