anydvd play back problems

    can anyone please help i have lastest verison of clonedvd & anydvd before recording i close my firewall & antivirus programs i backed up my films with no problems but just lately after playing on my stand alone dvd player though the tv after about a hour it starts to freeze & picture goes into like blocks somtimes i can forward on & it plays again but other times it just stops playing and i get a message saying cannot read disc it always happens after about 1 hour into film

    Skipping, freezing, pausing and pixelation are usually due to burning too fast, cheap media or you need a fw update for you burner.

    definitely due to those problems mentioned above.

    Are you using paper labels. Sometimes these will cause the issues mentioned as well.


    Just a thought.

    Yep.....could be burning too fast & bad media.

    How fast you burning at ? & what media are you using ?

    using verbatim 8x speed set to automatic do not use labels and using lastest firmware for my writer

    Hi Kerrin....I was on a chat forum,talking about this ...And they talked about the heat your player can get upto...mostly an hour into the dvd ..or near the end of the disk.....Many found all it was needed was a good lens cleaning dvd disk...Plus 8x is too fast....Take your time and get it right the first time....I now do them at 2x...even at 1x....burns deeper,and are just great.....Also make sure you got lots of air getting at your DVD Player...My daughter couln't play very many of my burns....So I put the dvd cleaning disk into her player ....Boy!!! didn't miss playing my burns anymore....Good advice by others in this thread Kerrin...It will all come together for you...Cheers

    You should be fine burning @ 4X ?

    thank you everybody who replied to my problem just burned 2 discs cut speed down to 2x got 2 perfect copies fingers crossed problem solved so thank you once again for all your help
