I have AnyDVD 6.0.4.5. I've noticed that, once I start AnyDVD, Windows Explorer (or any other program as best I can tell), has no access to either of my DVD-ROM drives. Even after I've closed AnyDVD, if I put a disk in with DVD-ROM drive, Windows Explorer still shows the drive empty. The only way to use the drive again is to restart my computer and not start AnyDVD. Has any else had this problem and know of a better solution than restarting? Tim
Hey Tim, I have exacly the same problem but the thing is i dont know anything to resolve it if i do ill post it here ok.
I had that problem once, for a couple of days. It cleared up with the next release of AnyDVD. Probably a bug between it and your burner model. Contact Slysoft about your problem. They need to know stuff like this, to do a fix, and release a new updated version. Good luck!
Thank you JVC. I initially intended to contact them but their website redirected me to this message board. At your advice though, I dug a little deeper and found the form to report the problem. I'll post SlySoft's response for everyone's benefit. Tim
I've never heard of such problems. Maybe you should use other players like Cool DVD which I've been using lately.
@boombaby....... AnyDVD isn't a player. It runs in the background, and bypasses the copy protection in movies, so we can make backup copies of them. It's not free, but it's definitely the best one out there. Some folks prefer to use the free ones, which is ok too. But sometimes they find a movie that the free ones have trouble with. AnyDVD has done every movie I've backed up, since buying it, without a problem. So far, that's been probably 400 movies. @Tim72....... I guess you got things working ok? What did you end up doing, to correct it?
