guys i just updated anydvd and it is locking up my system. won't read any media at all. when i put in a dvd the head turns pink and the program locks. tryed TWO clean reinstalls with no luck. anyone else having problems??
i just downloaded it and i have like 4 fox icons on my desktop and cant delete them nothing happening
Well, I downloaded the new version but have not yet installed it. I think I will wait a bit and see if these issues are corrected with a new release. Good luck to you folks.
Not that it is any consolation to you guys that are having problems, but the latest version of ANYDVD is working great on my computer... for now....hope there is no hidden bugs that will pop out later...
No Problem here either. AnyDVD 6.0.6.3 is working great here (Windows XP Pro & MCE 2005 & even on my old Win98 box)
i emailed slysoft but they have no clue whats going on so i guess i'm on my own. damnit!!!!!! guess its RipIt4Me till they fix the bug because i'm NOT reinstalling it it even disabled all three of my drives and i had to reinstall them. its really pissing me off
@abbccdd: Can you try a previous version? Unless the problem isn't AnyDVD, but something else which causes a conflict...???
i just reinstalled it for the third time and backed up the new Scooby-Doo and it seems to be working fine now. it was the dvd i was trying to do last night which was a backed up copy of Bambi 2 that caused the problem, probably had some problems on it being a Disney movie
well aabbccdd seems your problem is cured. now how do i get 3 of the 4 fox heads off my desktop?????i try to delete thme keeps saying something like being used by another program close down other progams before deleteing?????
Whare are your "three or four foxes"? Are these shortcuts? Where do they point? (Right mouse button, Properties)
thats just it they all go right to anydvd like they should.. when i downloaded the update once it finished the download they was 4 fox heads on my desktop and all of them works(shortcuts)i just cant get 3 of them off my desktop.ive went as far as going into each one and disabled it and then tried to delete them and it wont let me..guess i need to just uninstall and reinstall again
cincyrob go into msconfig and go to start up and un-check anydvd.. if its checked then try to unstall the icons... i just installed anydvd on 3-computers....no problems,2-2000 and xp systems..
i dont have a problem with the program itself. i've ripped a couple movies and burnt 1. i just cant get rid of these icons...ill try what you sugested ireland. thank you.
Just a mention that the latest AnyDVD update totally locked up my computer (XP) to the point I had to shut down manually after the update reboot. After restarting a few minutes later, all seemed fine and I shut AnyDVD down in msconfig and start it manually. Things seem fine still but it would be nice to know what happened. Wish I had waited; first time I jumped on a new update of anything.
I don't appear to have any of the issues mentioned as of yet. I have not ever had any with AnyDVD Updates. Nor CloneDVD 2 updates either. All has went well. Slysoft has done very well with updates.
Wow, weird, I don't ave the kind of problems that you guys had, and maybe this doesnt have anything to do with it, but last week when I did update anydvd, all of a sudden I wasnt getting any mail from afterdawn for a whole week, said to myself why so quite, than I visited the site on my own and got on to make a reply to one of my old posts and found out I could'nt cause my e-mail address became invalid, it gave several solutions and some ways to fix I followed all of them and still nothing, I havent changed any kind of setting, everything was the same, am still getting all my e-mails from different sites that I have been for years but not AD, I wrote to AD and I had to rectivate twice before I got on again, again, probably nothing to do with the anydvd update but sure is weird that this happined right after I updated, go figure.
yeah i think i would hold off on updating guys till slysoft figures out this bug. mine seems to be working fine now BUT as said it locked up my system and even disabled all four of my drives
