It seems that AnyDVD is updating almost every Thursday!

    6.0.9.9 2006 12 21
    - New: Added support for new versions of the SONY Arccos protection
to the option to remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors"
    - New strategy for removing bogus title sets, will preserve pgc
commands for better compatibility and reliability with structural
    copy protections.
    - Some minor fixes and improvements

You gotta hand it to Slysoft for the frequent updates! As long as new protections keep appearing, Slysoft will keep updating! AnyDVD & CloneDVD 2 is THE BEST Money I ever spent on any software! I will never regret my purchases!
I highy recommend anyone that has not bought it, try it! And.. buy it while it's for sale at a discounted price and a coupon too! After Jan. 1, 2007 it won't be as low a price as now!

I used DVD Shrink and still do sometime with AnyDVD. I myself thought that the free programs like DVDFab and RipIt4Me is a very good deal being as they are free but Someday those free ones will stop updating and we will have to buy the programs like AnyDVD and Clone DVD II and they will cost sooooooo much by then. People should buy them now and save. I still do update DVDFab and RipIt4Me just to have. I bought AnyDVD & Clone DVD II some time ago and am not sorry as it is the best money I have ever spent on a program. I agree that free is always good but that one day will come.......Way to go Slysoft.....Keep the updates coming......

@Dogman5, you make a good point that I have emphasized in past threads. Hey look AnyDVD is going up to $49.00 in January 07. I always looked at it like this, You buy your movies right? Or whatever, I do. Slysofts programs cost come no where close to out weighing the benefits. I feel that supporting the paid software and even suggesting the now free programs like RipIt4Me charge everyone a little something to protect them from just being bought out. By having a few companies that produce & sell decrypting software perhaps this will someday open a legal discussion as to whether backing up personal copies of your own store bought movies is illegal. Hey think about it like this for a minute, does a DVD come with a life time guarantee? So why don't the movie companies have a lifetime guarantee on the their DVD's in exchange for the consumers "Do not duplicate" compliance? Meaning if for any reason my store bought DVD no longer plays. I should be able to exchange it for a new one. I mean there are several companies that sell DVD blanks in large amounts every week including SONY and to the general public. I wonder what they think a person buying a shopping cart of DVD's is doing with 300 to 1000 blank DVD disc on sale, which buy the way sell like hot cakes. Millions if not billions are being made off of selling blank DVD's through retail 365, 12 months a year, and not just during prom, holiday, or graduation time. These blanks are not promoted in the stores as accessories to digital camera's as means of backing up home movies. Again what do the manufactures think people are doing with these disc and how. I mean a DVD duplicator found on many store bought PC's is called a burner. suggesting what?:p

Everybody needs a hobby. I used to spend way more time reloading ammo
then I ever did shooting. Just think of the shear joy of ripping thru all that encryption to back-up a movie that you probably will never watch again. "MAKE MY DAY"

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to ye all
