hey all howz it going so herez that thing i got that error msg from AnyDvd For tha first time. 1. DVD media is dirty, you can try to clean it 2. Dvd Media is damaged, you have to replace it. 3. Your drive is a region locked RPD2 drive which does not allow reading of scrambled sectors froma different region and you try to read a DVD from a different region. Known drives having this problem are RICHO/PHILIPS DVD writers and Matshita/Panasonic DVD readers and writers. You can try to find a RPC1 patch firmware at http://www.rpc1.com. 4. Your drive is a RPC2 drive that has not yet been assigned a Region. Try to assign on, or try to find a RPC1 patched firmware at http://rpc1.com. WHAT in the WORLD does that mean???? phew!!! thank you anyone for your assistance. so i understand that itz telling me to download something i just dont understand how i find out wat exactly to download az i dont want to download something wrong, i know alot about carz but zip about computerz which really doesnt help me lolz it iz tha first time this has come up, i do know that my drive IS region set. i am using AnyDvd 2.0.0.4 if that may be a reason??...can someone plz help me?? thankz muchly xx Shay
I think your problem is with version of AnyDVD, not your drive. Now it is 6.4.9.0, why do not you get that before doing anything to your drive and see.
Why don't you just use DVDFab HD Decrypter (it's totally FREE) http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm - get the latest beta version http://club.cdfreaks.com/f116/dvdfab-5-2-0-8-beta-out-258553/ Been using DVDFab HD Decrypter (FREE) and it has been ripping flawlessly.
