    Looks like it maybe down at this point. You can always go to this other site to get covers until that one comes back up.

    I remember that happening a while back, wouldn't worry too much.

    Now I'm glad I paid the $20 and joined http://www.generetic.org/, all high resolution covers and labels, as well as a lot of custom covers.

    I sure hope it comes up soon. I feel naked without it. Do you pay a ONE time fee of $20 for generitic.org or is it monthly?

    I believe generic.org is $20 a year.

    I also couldn't get on covers.to last night and just now. It does this about once a month. Should be ok in a day or so.That's my #1 cover site. If they don't have it,then I have a heck of a time finding them.

    Here's my #2 site:

    saugmon is right, its $20 for a year, takes about a day to get access once you sign up.

    All High Resolution stuff, some really great custom covers, labels, as well as series. A lot of creative people post there. Well worth the $20.

    A lot of thinpaks are posted there, saving me a ton of space with my collection.

    @saugmon

    Your right,to me covers.to is the best FREE site for covers.

    cdcovers.cc is my backup,

    but I'd rather wait for covers.to to come back up.

    Don't fall off your chairs, this is simply my opinion... but one I feel I must share ... :)

    Any site that charges for replacement covers should be dismantled. I subscribed to the predecessor and they went out of business along with all my credits. This in my opinion is a scam. We all know who that is .... "DVDCOVERART.COM"

    They're all the same... R1DB.org ... DVDCOVERART.org

    The least they could have done is provided the same credits to those who had already paid for it... instead they scratched everything and started asking for money all over again.... It is a plain and simple ripoff.

    They dismantled under the pretext that they were being sued by the movie industry... what a lame excuse.. I wish I could launch a class action suit against them along with all those who got taken in.

    The cover selection is very limited as well... sure it's nice... but it also takes forever to download. A good 1 to 2 MB jpg properly done is sufficient... most printers won't provide greater detail than that anyway.

    They're still making money and what's to stop them from dismantling again ?

    I should circulate a bit torrent with all the covers included and put them out of business... :)

    Anyway, that's my 2 cents ..... I'll make them before I subscribe to a ripoff like that ...

    P.S. .. I hope the owner of that site reads this ..

    Of course he'll probably claim that he was never associated with that previous site... but then .. that's an easy claim to make ...

    Long Live COVERS TO !! The only decent cover site.... A great 2nd best for cdcover cc .. The rest ,,, well.. you know !

    Regards,
    CK

    Covers.to is still down, UGGH! This is the longest it has been down,and I've been downloading covers for over a year.

    UT_CK: Sorry you got ripped off. That is a bunch of BS that they rake in your money and then shut down. Sounds like Enron! I'll stay clear of those label paysites.

    @Dogman5

    Thanks for the tip on the website. I've been using cdcovers.cc for a while now and not that impressed on most covers (discolored, fuzzy, etc) but they were good enough for my purpose...this site has great quality covers. Thanks again bro

    Cheers!

    Another good cover site is http://www.freecovers.net . They charge $10.00 a year to download their covers in the highest resolution. You can download them at a fairly decent resolution also for free. I think their free covers are better than the ones at cdcovers.cc . Their covers in the higher resolution usually run 5-10 MB. They don't have quite the selection as covers.to, but they are getting better. I generally go there first, mainly because I paid the 10 bucks. When I upload a cover to freecovers.net I usually scan them at 400 dpi. When I upload one to Covers.to I scan at 300 dpi because they appear to not take anything over 5 MB.
